I was having a bad aura day when I got photographed the first time.
So I went to Glamour Aura Shots the 2nd time to get much better head shots for my portfolio.
My aura had lots of pastel colors and a little bit of day glo yellow and orange. So, I've changed my name to Sonny Crokett and now live on my boat w/ my pet alligator. -

"Sending The Idea Home" (cartoon)

delightfully correct words of truth from the pages of the golden age magazine march 14, 1923. .

That cartoon is from 1923. Millions now living. Even if they were speaking of 5 year olds...which we know they weren't...those 5 year olds would now be 88 years old. LOL....not many 88 year old Jehovah's Witness' are there? Much less millions of them.

The Religious Right Crazies have attempted to rewrite history by asserting that the United States government derived from Christian foundations, that our Founding Fathers originally aimed for a Christian nation. This idea simply does not hold to the historical evidence.
Of course many Americans did practice Christianity, but so also did many believe in deistic philosophy. Indeed, MOST of our influential Founding Fathers, although they respected the rights of other religionists, held to deism and Freemasonry tenets rather than to Christianity.
As for the "slippery slope" argument being bandied about. Are you telling me that since my state govt. just raised the speed limit on highways from 65 mph to 70 mph, we are now on a "slippery slope" to raising the speeds to 110 mph? Or flip flop the argument. Back during the gas crisis lowering speed limits to 55 mph was considered a priority to save oil/gas. Did we eventually keep lowering the speed limit to zero? Nope! So don't be ridiculous.
Thank you for "explaining" your position Truthseeker, as ye shall know them by their words. -

God never, ever, ever answered any of my prayers. NONE. NOT ONE. NOT EVER. I tried. I was a good JW for the first 2 or 3 years after being baptised, didn't commit any "big" sins, asked for God's direction, etc. He wasn't home apparently. This cult is a fear based on. The worst kind of control. Why would God need FEAR? I remember the JW's always laughing about how the Catholics teach hellfire and use fear tactics, yet didn't bother to think about their own fear based teachings.
So once I walked away from it, I never once, ever, thought it was the right religion. After finding JWD, and seeing all the lies, I am now convince that not only is it not right for me....but downright dangerous and should be wiped from the face of the Earth. Before I found JWD, I was of the opinion, I know it's not true for me, but maybe for my parent's it meets their spirituality requirement. After seeing the deceitful practices they practice.....I want to get them out!
Make your decsion. Don't look back. It will feel as if a 100 lb. weight has been lifted from your shoulders once you finally make up your mind to leave, and follow thru with it. -

Truth....Sorry but hate speech is not protected under the Constitution OR this board. Nice attempt at deflection however. Nor, have I told you to shut up, nor said the mods should delete your posts. You keep blabbing and then wanting the mods to lock the thread to SHUT EVERYONE ELSE UP. So spare me your intellectually dishonest lecture....mmmm k?

Oh look. Truthseeker shows up spews some bigotry and then wants LadyLee to close the thread. How predicatible.
See http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/100253/1.ashx for more of TruthSeeker's bigotry. He get's called on it, can't defend his position, then asks the mods to close the thread. Posting things like "Radical Homosexual Agendas" yet then try to claim he wasn't trying to be inflammatory.
Sorry Truthseeker.....I read AND REMEMBER what is said here at JWD. Hypocrisy just sticks in my craw. -

AK Jeff - certainly OldFlame has a right to express his opinion.
If you look at a previous post of his pissing and moaning about all the "gay threads"....here are some excerpts....
OldFlame said "This is not a gay discussion board, it is not a sex board. This site is for ex JW's and those coming out. If you people want a sex board or a gay board then I am sure there are plenty on the web you can go to. This is partly the reason I don't post here much anymore because lately JWD seems to have gotten off track with why we really are here."
OldFlame also said: "I too was getting tired of all the fluff, some fluff is good in order to break the monotony but when I seen we need more gay threads I too got a little frustrated. It kind of closes JWD for what it was intended for. Simon put his whole life into this board in order for it to help those who were coming out and to me it just seems like crap like this is just a kick in all his efforts."
And yet more OF said "I have not ever said that fluff was a bad thing here at JWD"
(these above comments located at: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/106036/1.ashx)
Lord knows he must look at and comment on every gay thread with yet more comments like:
"Well it say's I'm 20 % gay but I got to tell ya that I am a little homophobic to be honest. I don't care too much for sissy boys....And the whole idea gives me the creeps."
(From the "How Gay Are You thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/15/105304/1.ashx)
So, does OldFlame really hate fluffing? No.
From the "Bin Laden's Niece is Hot" thread he said "Be careful, she might have a bomb stuffed up that fine ass....."
From the What Did You Have On Your Bedroom Wall thread he said "Farah was on my wall, the poster where her nipples were about to explode through her swim suit."
I could go to list dozens of examples, but I think you get the gist. Look at the posters posting history.
When I see this dichotomy it reeks of bigotry. The word bigot from Websters.
Main Entry: bigĀ·ot
Pronunciation: 'bi-g&t
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French, hypocrite, bigot
: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices
This is a discussion board. While OldFlame is certainly welcome to state his opinion, I have the same right to call out bigotry where I see it. Especially when it is against the stated rules of this forum, Rule #3 - No swearing, using hate-speech or making obscene or vulgar comments, etc... -

LT, I'm with you. It's odd.
Maybe gay's should come up with a BETTER word. Like Union of Eternal Bliss, or Sextastic Joining, Celebration Ceremony of Ogasms, or something fabulous. Then when straight people invariably want to be "cool" and "trendy" and want to use the term too...tell them PISS OFF! LOL
